A fraction of replacement cost

Solid cabinet boxes rarely need replacing. What dates a kitchen is the finish on the doors and the colour of the hardware. Refinishing keeps the carcasses and the layout you already have and changes everything you actually look at.

Doors sprayed off-site

We label and remove every door and drawer front and spray them in a controlled environment, not in your kitchen. That keeps the dust out of your home and gives the doors a genuinely flat, even film that on-site brushing cannot match.

Built to be scrubbed

Kitchen cabinetry gets handled, splashed and wiped every day. We finish with durable conversion coatings chosen to take that, rather than a wall paint that will burnish where hands land.

What happens to your doors at the shop

Each door is logged against its opening, cleaned and degreased, repaired, sanded through the grits, primed, sanded again, and sprayed on both faces in a controlled booth, then cured flat before it travels. The shop stage is why refinished doors come back looking factory-made: because they were finished the way a factory finishes them, one careful step at a time.

Common questions

How does refinishing compare with replacing the cabinets?

If the boxes are solid, and in most good kitchens they are, refinishing changes everything you actually look at for a fraction of what replacement costs, with none of the demolition. Replacement makes sense when the layout is wrong. When the layout is right and the doors are tired, replacement is mostly paying to throw away carcasses that were fine.

How long is the kitchen out of action?

Less than people fear. Doors and drawer fronts leave for the shop. The boxes are masked and sprayed on site, and the kitchen stays usable for most of the project. The exact schedule depends on the door count and the finish system, and it goes in writing in the proposal, not as a guess on the day.

Will a sprayed finish stand up to kids and cleaning?

That is exactly what conversion coatings are for. They cure hard, take daily wiping and scrubbing, and resist the burnishing that turns wall paint shiny where hands land. We will tell you the cure schedule, the finish wants gentle treatment for its first weeks while it reaches full hardness.

Can you match a specific color?

Any of them. Bring a chip from any brand, a fabric, a stone sample or a photograph and we match into it, including two-tone schemes, which is most of what islands are asking for now.

Do the cabinet interiors get refinished too?

Usually not. Interiors in decent shape stay as they are, which keeps cost where the eyes go. Glass-door uppers and open shelving are the exception: anything visible gets finished. Full interior refinishing is available where boxes need it; we will tell you honestly whether yours do.
